Was Abby Patterson murdered?

Authorities in North Carolina are looking for Abby Patterson, but a dark cloud is hovering over her case. That's because at least two other women have been found murdered in the same area where this young woman is missing. It's been two months, and now fears of her death are even more apparent. Was this woman the victim of a killer, or was her disappearance caused by other circumstances?

Abby Patterson disappeared from Lumberton, North Carolina, after leaving her home with a male friend. She told her loved ones that she'd be home in an hour, but never returned. Now it's two months later, and a reward is being offered for information leading to her whereabouts.

It should be noted that detectives do not (publicly) believe that there is a connection between the disappearance of Abby Patterson, and the murders of Christina Bennett and Megan Oxendine. However, they have declared that "anything is possible."  Both women's bodies were found in Lumberton, just a couple hundred feet apart. So it's disturbing that a woman is now missing.

Police have identified the man she left her home with, but won't identify him to the public. They also won't clarify on whether or not the man is a person of interest in Abby's disappearance.

If you have any information about the disappearance of Abby Patterson, please call the Lumberton Police at (910) 671-3845.
